Godfrey was a retail giant in the 80s and that’s where their marketing approach was stuck. We needed to move the brand away from shouty retail ads to something more relatable. We decided that the best thing about a vacuum is not that it allows your house to be clean, it’s that it allows it to be dirty. After all, the best things in life make mess. While other brands continued to showcase the sterility of technology we chose to showcase life and the joy of messiness.
