THE FAR SIDE
OF THE FOREST
To launch Wild Moose Canadian Whiskey and Dry we created a series of single-panel comics showing what a moose really gets up to in the wild. Closely based on my own drawings, these were something of a passion project for me.
Wild Moose: What Happens in the Wild- Social Comics

Moose is unrecognizable until he puts his face on.

Popular at parties.

Burying carpets is thirsty work.

Chuck a few on ice.

'What are you guys supposed to be?"

Moose gets a tattoo to remember the occasion.

The Easter Moose leaves a surprise.

Learning to walk in high hooves.

'Sweet hog."

Six pack of Wild Moose free to a good home.

Perfect for when guests just drop in.

Moose likes to pretend he's a giant and mushrooms are tiny houses.

No one reads it for the articles.

Get ready for the Olympics.

Never go into the wild without your trusty Swiss Army Moose.

April Fool's.

What hidden wonders does the new season hold?

The perfect six pack.

"You haven't been seen in decades, but you're back with a new album..."

Casual Friday.

Refreshes in a flash.

Moose has big dreams.

"One toilet for the whole forest?!"

An obvious typo sees Moose come to wield the staff of Moses.

"Rapunzemoose, let down your antlers."

Turns out Moose was three beavers in a trenchcoat the whole time.

A rare glimpse at the magnificent unimoose.

As a lifelong fan of The Far Side and a perennial doodler, it was a joy to write and sketch these comics before handing them off to a professional. All those hours wasted during school finally pay off professionally.
